Canada’s National Ballet School has been invited to participate in the 15th annual Holland Dance Festival in 2016. For the first time, the Holland Dance Festival has invited the three Dutch professional schools (the Dutch National Ballet School in Amsterdam, Codarts in Rotterdam and Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague) along with NBS to present works at the Festival to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Holland by Canadian soldiers in World War II.

Seventeen grade 11, 12 and PSP students will be travelling to The Hague from January 26th to February 5th, along with Artistic Director Mavis Staines and staff members Shaun Amyot, Susannah Scott, and Raymond Smith.

NBS will be performing twice – January 28th and February 1st. Works include Aszure Barton's Come In, an excerpt from John Neumeier’s Yondering, an excerpt from Sleeping Beauty (Aurora’s Solo), and Luminous, choreographed by NBS student, Thomas Leprohon.
