Toronto 2015 Pan Am Opening Ceremony
NBS students performed in two scenes during the Pan Am Games Opening Ceremonies created by Cirque du Soleil. Approximately 56 PBP students rehearsed and participated on July 10 at a sold-out Rogers Centre. Watch the ceremony and see the younger students dancing at the 2:36:10 mark.

Grade 12 Professional Ballet Program Graduation
June 26 saw the graduating class of 2015 receive their diplomas from Mavis Staines, Artistic Director and Neil Walsh, Academic Principal. In addition to the Academic Awards presented, the following Ballet Awards were given to: Godwin Merano � Jeffrey Kirk Award; Daniel Silva � Lawrence Haskett Scholarship Award; Lauren Janeway & Matthew Quigley � Jeff Melanson Prize; Alexandra Hall � Erik Bruhn Memorial Award; and Marcus Pei - Christopher Ondaatje Ballet Prize. Congratulations to all the grads!
New Website
August will see NBS launching its new corporate website with a redesigned e-newsletter to follow in the Fall. The new site has a very different look and feel and will feature recent photography taken by NBS graduate, Johan Persson. A key feature of the new site is its �responsive� design, meaning it will function smoothly from desktop, to tablet to smart phone.

National Audition Tour 2015-2016
The schedule and dates for NBS� 2015/2016 National Audition Tour will be posted on our website in early September, at which time registration will also open. Dancing with Parkinson�s at NBS
This September, NBS will be offering its next session of Dancing with Parkinson�s classes. The classes will take place weekly on Tuesdays, beginning September 15. For more information, and to register, please call 416 964 5105. In the meantime, be sure to check out (and share) the latest video of our Dancing with Parkinson�s participants performing at Sharing Dance Day 2015.
Teacher Training Program Day, September 25
September 25 will see NBS open its doors to high school guidance counsellors and students interested in pursuing a career as a dance teacher. Culture Days, September 26 & 27
This year Culture Days will be happening on September 26 and 27, 2015. We�ll be offering an observation experience in the Betty Oliphant Theatre on Saturday, September 26 and a variety of ballet classes for children and adults on Sunday, September 27. Registration will open for the ballet classes on August 7 no registration is required for the observation class.
