Sharing Dance in the Classroom

Sharing Dance in the Classroom

Sharing Dance in the Classroom is a suite of free, bilingual online resources for teachers. These tools and activities are meant to increase physical literacy, inspire creativity, and improve mental and emotional well-being. Best of all, no dance experience is necessary to facilitate or participate in these lessons!

Available Classroom Resources (created in partnership with NBS, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, and Physical Health and Education Canada):

  • Primary and Junior grade resources – intermediate programs coming 2018!
  • Printable lesson plans and sample rubrics
  • Downloadable music and online videos
  • An online community for teachers/instructors to share experiences and recommendations

All of our classroom materials are designed to be nationally relevant, meeting the needs of dance curricula across all provinces and territories, and can be used as a kinesthetic tool for exploring several school subjects, including language, science, geography, and more!
