We’ve made learning the choreography easy! Each of the following videos focuses on a short section of the choreography. Each section shows you the movements in detail and allows you to practice together with counts and music.
Grab your dancing shoes, and embrace the pure joy of dance! Thank you to our partners for their support of NBS Sharing Dance Day 2018.
Using levels and sweeping arm movements, imagine you’re at the side of a river- feel the pulse of the music, creating images of trees and mountains.
Take a breath at the top of a mountain and move through space with eagle-like arms, gathering energy from the earth.
Build the energy of the dance through the contrast of sharp and fluid movements.
In this section, we begin to express imbalance in our relationship to the environment. Run, jump and throw your energy around the room.
The music makes a dynamic shift as we struggle to find and maintain balance.
Climb your way up and collapse your body down to the earth; transition back to the eagle movements, finding a feeling of peace and calm.
The choreography is almost complete! Step side to side while reaching your arms out from your shoulders and pulse outward from your heart restoring a sense of harmony.
Congratulations on arriving at the end of the choreography. We finish the dance by reaching into the clouds, allowing water to condense into our hands and returning it to the earth.
