Every Dancer Needs a Partner

Students are accepted to NBS on the basis of talent alone. The cost of each student's training is subsidized, as tuition covers only one quarter of the actual training cost. An additional 75% of families require further financial assistance to cover tuition, residence, travel and other expenses.

By becoming a Student Partner donor, you become a leading supporter of student assistance at NBS and an integral member of the elite Student Partner Program. Matching your financial investment directly with a young dancer requiring assistance, the Student Partner Program ensures that your annual donation helps a gifted dancer reach the world stage, regardless of their family's financial means.

In recognition of your support, you will be paired with a student partner - a specially-selected ambassador of the Student Partner Program - who you can watch pursue their passion as they progress through their training at NBS. Your support as an individual can help your student partner through a tough training regime that tests their limits.

Student Partners Experience Dance Like Never Before

“Before I got involved in the Student Partner Program I had little appreciation for what it takes to become a professional dancer. In pursuit of their dreams and in pursuit of excellence, NBS’ students’ commitment, dedication and workload is unlike anything I have seen or heard of outside of professional sports. The Student Partner Program has been an opportunity for me and my family to meet and get to know an inspiring individual but also an opportunity to gain insights into one of the world’s premier artistic training institutions. A unique experience filled with admiration of my student partner and pride in the knowledge that Canada is producing such great talent”.

Enrich Your Life and Support the Next Generation of Dancers

Donors to the Student Partner Program tell us that they appreciate the opportunity to experience the School through the eyes of their students, to feel the power of their dreams, and to become a source of personal encouragement to future stars of dance. The partnership also provides students with a source of inspiration, affirmation and support.

Investing in student assistance is one of the most impactful ways to support NBS – especially in the current economic climate where unprecedented need for financial support has emerged as a trend. We anticipate that this trend will continue in the years ahead. Accessibility for the talented regardless of financial means or background is the School’s enduring aspiration; with your support NBS can ensure that gifted children have the opportunity to thrive, succeed and reach their potential.
