NBS Announces New Executive Director, Grant Troop

Canada’s National Ballet School is pleased to announce Grant Troop as its new Executive Director and Co-CEO. Troop comes to NBS after 19 years of service at the Ontario Science Centre. He holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, along with degrees in Geology and Economic Geology.
NBS Announces Operating Surplus for 2010/2011

Canada’s National Ballet School has finished the 2010/2011 year with an operating surplus. This marks the fifth year in a row that NBS, while housed in its new facilities, has posted an operating surplus at the end of its fiscal year.
NBS realized a surplus of $112,000, after all operating expenses and servicing its debt. NBS is thankful to Canadian Heritage, the Ontario Arts Council, the City of Toronto and the British Columbia Arts Council for their support. Operating expenses in the 2010/2011 year increased by 4%, to $19.391 million.
