Hip Hop Flashmob, September 2011

Canada's National Ballet School and The Manifesto Festival of Community & Culture partner with Lenny Len of Flavorshop fame to create a hip hop flashmob! Held on September 25, 2011 at Toronto's Yonge-Dundas Square to kick off Manifesto's Live at the Square day and set to Maestro Fresh Wes' 'Let Your Backbone Slide', the flashmob starts with a few dancers and builds to include the whole crew!

International Dance Day 2011

As part of NBS' International Dance Day festivities, over 300 young dancers between the ages of 8 and 15 performed a mob dance at the Ontario Science Centre! The routine was choreographed by NBS teacher Courtnae Bowman, and set to a song by k-os.

This was the second dance mob to celebrate International Dance Day NBS performed in 2011, as on April 29 over 100 of NBS' community program members and staff gathered in Pecaut Square in downtown Toronto to perform a routine choreographed by NBS grad Matjash Mrozewski, set to a song by Joel Plaskett.

International Dance Day 2010

Canada's National Ballet School's community members celebrated the School's 50th anniversary on International Dance Day, April 29, 2010 at the Toronto Eaton Centre. Choreography was by Matjash Mrozewski (an NBS grad) to an Escort remix of Feist's I Feel it All.
