Spring Showcase 2012, running from May 24-26, will present the world premiere of a new work by Aszure Barton, the welcome return of Giselle, Erik Bruhn's Here We Come and Brute, a solo work by NBS' Artist-in-Residence, Peggy Baker. IDD rehearsal International Dance Day 2012
April 29 is International Dance Day and that can only mean one thing at NBS: it's flashmob time! Beginning with our Eaton Centre performance in 2010, IDD has evolved into a great tradition at NBS. NBS facilities NBS will have our "Doors Open" once again
NBS will once again participate in Toronto's annual Doors Open event. Each year 100+ buildings throughout the GTA open their doors to the public for free! Each of Doors Open's buildings encompasses historic, cultural, architectural and/or social significance, and NBS' beautiful facilities are no exception. Doors Open will take place on Sat May 26, 10:00am – 5:00pm with free guided tours offered throughout the School.
Adult Ballet students Term III of Adult Ballet Has Spots Remaining
NBS' Adult Ballet Program has a few spots remaining in the third term. Classes started last week and extend through until the end of July. Check the website for details on the schedule and how to register. Watch the new Ballet Bob warm-up video.
Dance class with Ballet Bob New Dance-Based Conditioning Class
NBS is piloting a low-intensity morning class, Dance-Based Conditioning (DBC). Taught by Ballet Bob McCollum, the class will build core strength, co-ordination, and balance. Offered on Tuesday & Thursday mornings, 7.40-8.20am (the same class offered twice weekly), adults can register April 27 for classes beginning May 22. Included in the fee for this inaugural 6-week session is a theraband.
Golf Classic, TMX Golf Classic 2012
NBS' annual golf fundraising event, the Golf Classic, is fast approaching! This year's event will be on June 18 at Coppinwood in Uxbridge. Sponsored by TMX Group, the fun-filled event will welcome over 140 golfers, including business leaders from banking, brokerage, legal and accounting sectors to a day of competition and fundraising for arts education. AP students Associates Program Corner
A reminder to all AP families that AP classes are cancelled for the Victoria Day long weekend in May, Saturday, May 19 through Monday, May 21. Regular classes resume Tuesday, May 22. And all AP families should mark their calendars, Closing Demonstration Weekend is June 9 and 10, more information will be sent out soon.

The Google Science Fair is an online science competition open to students between the ages of 13 and 18, from anywhere around the world.
