The Nutcracker, December 13 to January 3
Each year, students from NBS participate in The National Ballet of Canada�s holiday performance, The Nutcracker. Along with the lead roles of Marie and Misha, NBS students play roles as lambs, dogs, chefs and courtiers. The production is awe-inspiring and we look forward to seeing all our students as they take the stage. For more information on the performances, or to buy tickets, visit www.national.ballet.ca.
Associates Program
Rehearsals for the National Ballet of Canada�s production of The Nutcracker are in full swing. Parent Viewing Days for all levels will take place from December 8 to 14 � please consult page 16 of the 2014/2015 AP Handbook for details. Holiday Closure: There will be no AP classes from December 15 through January 4; classes resume on Monday, January 5. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
Professional Ballet Program Holiday Break
NBS will break for the holidays and resume regular activities in the New Year. Safe travels to all PBP students returning home and our best wishes to students performing in The Nutcracker. All regular classes will end at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17 with the Senior School resuming Monday, January 5 and the Junior School, plus Grade 9 boys resuming Monday, January 12.
Teacher Training Program, NEW - One Year Certificate
NBS is now offering a unique one-year certificate providing students with a detailed look at the science and skill of teaching dance, with a focus on classical ballet. Learn more.
Adult Ballet Program
Registration for Term II is now open! Term II begins January 5 and ends April 19, 2015.

The Royal Conservatory of Music, December 6
Catch Stewart Goodyear playing a version of Tchaikovsky�s The Nutcracker with a student-choreographed pas de deux by two NBS PSP students. A family-themed afternoon concert with other local participants! Read more.
Cineplex Front Row Centre Events Dance Series
The Cineplex Dance Series will present two performances this month, both by the Bolshoi Ballet. La Bayad�re will be shown in Cineplex theatres across Canada on Sunday, December 7, and will be followed by the Bolshoi Ballet�s production of The Nutcracker, which will be shown on Sunday, December 21. The Play Exchange - January 9, 2015
NBS� Sharing Dance is one of 6 finalists competing on a CBC TV show for up to $1M to get Canadians healthy and active through dance. We need you to vote for sharing dance and will tell you how to do so later this month. Visit www.theplayexchange.ca for details.

The Annual General Meeting, 2013-14
The AGM will take place in the Betty Oliphant Theatre on December 3 at 4:00 p.m. Donors who give $250 and above have voting privileges.
