Sharing Dance Day 2014
Want to learn ballet, hip-hop or Bollywood? Join NBS on May 4 at Yonge-Dundas Square for Sharing Dance Day! This FREE event, MC�d by Global News� Carolyn Jarvis, will feature dance and musical performances. NBS, BBBST, PSC, WSPA, and community members will also perform this year�s dance routine. Spring Showcase 2014
Spring Showcase performances are taking place from May 21 � 24. This year�s Spring Showcase will feature two world premieres choreographed by celebrated NBS graduates: Robert Binet�s Wave Ring, and Demis Volpi�s Chalkboard Memories. A Public Lecture with Demis Volpi, 2014 Koerner Guest Artist

Global Summit on the Physical Activity of Children
NBS Artistic Staff Member Ashleigh Powell�s "Poster Presentation" has been selected to be shared on May 22 at the conference to be held at The Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto. Bringing international scholars, teachers and researchers together for a 3 day summit, Ashleigh�s presentation will focus on bringing Sharing Dance into the classroom. Click here for more details.
Doors Open Toronto
NBS will participate in Doors Open on Saturday, May 24 from 10 am � 5 pm. Free guided tours will be provided throughout the Celia Franca Centre with the last tour leaving at 4:40 pm. Please join us on this one day to learn more and experience the beauty of the NBS campus.

Toronto 2015 Pan Am / Parapan AM Games
NBS will create a new dance commission for PANAMANIA, presented by CIBC, to be performed in July 2015 as part of the Pan AM / Parapan Am Games. PANAMANIA is a multi-disciplinary arts and cultural program intended to encourage and support the creation of works and performances that support the spirit and mission of the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games. The Fall 2013 issue of PHE�s Journal features a case study of a consistent participant and her Grade 8 class in NBS� Sharing Dance routines. Since NBS� first flashmob in 2010, Lili Steer and students at Beaumonde Heights PS have joined NBS community members to perform the routines. Adult Ballet
Join our Adult Ballet Program in our 9 Week Intro to Ballet class. Registration opens online May 12. Classes start June 2.
Associates Program
Registration for the 2014-15 Associates Program starts this month. Keep an eye out for important registration information from the Registrar's Office. Associates Program auditions continue this month. You can register here. Classes are cancelled for the Victoria Day long weekend Friday May 16 � Monday May 19. Rehearsals are underway for AP�s Closing Demonstration in June.
