Professional Programs

Professional Ballet Program

The Professional Ballet Program at Canada’s National Ballet School provides full-time ballet training to students from Grade 6 to 12 as well as a Post-Secondary Program and is carefully and progressively designed to take the student from the earliest stages of intensive training to the brink of a full-time career in dance. In addition, all students receive individual support and guidance as a part of their career orientation and employment search.

Teacher Training Program

Are you a high school dance major? A professional dancer looking to make a career change? Are you a practicing ballet teacher seeking to enhance your knowledge and teaching skills? Are you interested in obtaining Registered Teacher Status with the RAD, a Cecchetti or ISTD teaching qualification, NBS accreditation and a university degree? Canada's National Ballet School has a teacher training program for you.

Sharing Their Experience - from our Alumni
Nehemiah Kish

Nehemiah Kish & Andrew Burashko in Intermezzo by Cylla von Tiedemann.

"I had the privilege of spending four years at Canada's National Ballet School where I received a world class education in both ballet and academics. The school's focus on developing healthy and intelligent artists, along with the mentoring I received from the house parents in residence, provided me with the tools to become a professional dancer. Perhaps the most inspiring experience at the Ballet School was being surrounded by dancers my age from around the world who shared my passion for dance."
