NBS' 50th Anniversary year was an astounding success, which can be largely attributed to the enthusiasm and energy of the School's diverse and vibrant community. From the Assemblée Internationale and the Alumni Reunion Weekend to the unforgettable flash mob dance on International Dance Day, NBS has most certainly celebrated its momentous birthday with gusto.

To conclude this commemorative year, we invited you – friends, parents, students, volunteers and staff – to play a role and leave a lasting mark on the School's first 50 years.

Thank You Donors!

After 35 days, our year-end appeal exceeded expectations as 78 donors made individual gifts that exceeded $17,000. Participants included students, staff, parents, and individuals committed to NBS’ Annual Operating Campaign. This novel initiative would not have been possible without the instrumental leadership of our three Benefactor Challengers who inspired these new and supplemental contributions.

Additionally, the overwhelming enthusiastic response by Patron & Benefactor donors to the Challenge so moved a new Major Gifts donor to make a special $50,000 gift in tribute to the 50th Anniversary!

To all participants in the 50 Gifts for the 50th Challenge, we thank you. Your generosity means that the School will collect an additional $5,100 from the Benefactor challengers. The money raised will be directed to the Annual Operating Campaign which supports the School’s ongoing commitment to ensure aspiring young dancers reach their creative potential.
