Jaimie Persson (nee Tapper) Moderator/Empowerment Through a Healthy Mindset During Transition
Jaimie trained at the National Ballet School of Canada. She joined the National Ballet of Canada in 1994 and was promoted to First Soloist in 1999. In 1995 she won the Fourth International Competition for the Erik Bruhn prize. She joined The Royal Ballet in 1999 and was promoted to Principal, 2002. Her repertory included Odette/Odile, Giselle, Aurora, Swanhilda, Sugar Plum Fairy, Nikiya, Tatiana, Manon, Cinderella, Terpsichore, ‘M’ (Carmen), Agon, The Four Temperaments, Triad, Song of the Earth, The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude, Symphonic Variations, Polyphonia, Requiem and Gloria. Jaimie retired from the Royal Ballet in 2006 preceding the birth of her second child.
Since retirement Jaimie has received First Class Honours degrees in Work Based Learning Studies (BA), Psychology (BSc) and Organisational Psychology (MSc). Jaimie is Level A/B trained in Psychometric testing and a member of the BPS. Since 2011, Jaimie has managed Shoreditch Trust’s Maternal Health Education Programme.
