Highlights of performances over the years

NBS students Performing in Tokyo, Japan and Lausanne, Switzerland

Two senior students have participated in the inaugural Choreographic Project at the annual Prix de Lausanne Competition, January 28 – February 4, 2018. In addition, another four students have been invited to perform at the Orchard Ballet Gala in Tokyo, Japan, February 11 and 12, 2018.

Yondering 20th Anniversary Celebration (Hamburg, Germany)

June 29 to July 4, 2016

Six students from the Professional Ballet Program will join students from the six of the seven other international schools permitted to perform Yondering on the stage of the Hamburg Opera House at the gala celebration of Yondering’s 20th anniversary. NBS will also present an excerpt from NBS alumnus (and Stuttgart Ballet Resident Choreographer) Demis Volpi’s Chalkboard Memories.

The annual fundraising gala will draw together Canada's National Ballet School's friends and supporters to celebrate the budding talent emerging from the Professional Ballet Program. The evening will culminate in a performance by the School's students.

Canada's National Ballet School was invited to participate in the 15th annual Holland Dance Festival performing twice during the festival.

Canada’s National Ballet School was proud to present of the People, a commission by the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games arts and culture festival, PANAMANIA presented by CIBC. The work was choreographed by Shaun Amyot and Demis Volpi and featured dancers from six different Pan Am countries.

At the end of Assemblée Internationale 2013, Canada's National Ballet School’s Artistic Director, Mavis Staines, issued a call to action, inviting students to create new choreographic works. This project was titled the Creative Challenge.
