Children and Youth

Children have a natural, instinctive love of movement but increasingly sedentary lifestyles have negative impacts on the physical, social and psychological well-being of Canadian children.

NBS Sharing Dance Children and Youth programs aim to rekindle that joy of movement; providing resources and support for dance in school and community settings.

Through fun, engaging movement activities young people are encouraged to value and take responsibility for their physical and artistic engagement. In this way, NBS Sharing Dance contributes to the development of physical literacy, building participants’ motivation, confidence and physical competence. NBS Sharing Dance improves the present and invests in the future!
