On Monday, I spent an inspiring afternoon sitting in on rehearsals at Canada’s National Ballet School, where students worked feverishly to perfect their parts in next week’s annual NBS Spring Showcase. The 2014 show features three works, one classic (Act III from The Sleeping Beauty) and two contemporary pieces, one each by NBS alumni Robert Binet (now Choreographic Associate with the National Ballet of Canada) and Demis Volpi (currently Resident Choreographer with the Stuttgart Ballet).
