Our Campus and Facilities

Get to Know Our Campus

Welcome to Canada’s National Ballet School, where dancers of all ages and abilities unite through our passion for dance.

Our expansive campus serves dancers the professional ballet programs, recreational dance programs and community dance programs alike. It’s also the site of content and resource creation that gets shared with even more dancers across Canada.

Our campus features:

  • Celia Franca Centre, the award-winning, state-of-the-art centrepiece of NBS’ dance training facilities featuring 13 studios

  • Currie Hall, built in 1911 as a Quaker Meeting House and served as the original site of Canada’s National Ballet School, which now serves as part of the dormitories

  • Margaret McCain Building, where students attend to their academics

  • Betty Oliphant Theatre, a training and performance venue

  • The Shoe Room, a ballet boutique that shares our pointe shoe fitting expertise

  • And our newest addition at 410 Jarvis Street, allowing for the next phase of expansion that opens our doors to more dancers and to the arts community in Toronto
