Examining anti-Black racism in ballet through AI23 Learning Sessions

As part of the educational lead-up to the in-person programming of Assemblée Internationale 2023 (AI23), Canada's National Ballet School is hosting Learning Sessions for students and staff to deepen knowledge and understanding on anti-Black racism in ballet. Since last October, NBS’ entire student body and staff have been encouraged to engage in these virtual Learning Sessions alongside 36 AI23 participating training schools and organizations across 12 countries. The Learning Sessions provide an opportunity for everyone to listen, learn, and engage directly through experts and their lived experiences.

Get a short glimpse into a few of the speakers' Learning Sessions through the videos below. Visit Assemblée Internationale to read more about each speaker and learn more about this global event.
