Eugene Baffoe

Eugene Baffoe, known in the hip hop community as GeNie, is a freestyle battle Dancer from Montreal, Quebec. This will be GeNie’s second year choreographing for Sharing Dance, having been a part one of the four artists selected in 2017, in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary.

Michelle Olson

Michelle Olson

Michelle Olson is a member of the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in First Nation (Yukon) and is the Artistic Director of Raven Spirit Dance. She studied dance at the University of New Mexico with Bill Evans (contemporary) and Andrew Garcia (Pueblo Social Dances), Banff Centre for the Arts in Aboriginal Dance and furthered her performance training with Full Circle First Nations as an Ensemble member.

Dr. Draw

Dr. Draw is an industrious musical prodigy, who has dedicated his life to improving his techniques and expanding his musical vocabulary to please and astound audiences originating from anywhere in the world. He was the first violinist to have ventured into the world’s budding electronic music scene, a far departure from the more traditional genres the instrument is used in, such as rock and classical.

Acote

Acote

Acote is the new alias belonging to Toronto artist Jeff-Antoine Cote (fka BSMNT), blending minimal techno, drone and bass music in a live hardware setting. Acote’s early production has been recognized on media platforms such as XLR8R, BigUp Magazine, and BBC Radio One which contributed to an invitation from Red Bull to participate in the Montreal Bass Camp.

Scott Jackson

Scott Jackson

Scott Jackson lives in a world built by sounds. A door hinge’s squeaky creek, a snare drum’s darting snap, a helicopter’s chopping blades; these are the intricacies he’s made his craft. Internationally renowned as a master of sound and ceremony, Scott Jackson is a beatboxer birthed by hip hop but who stretches the art form’s appeal at every turn.

Marie Michele

Marie Michele

M’Michele is an author, composer and performer who has participated in several events and festivals, including the Nuit Blanche de Montréal, with a very remarkable performance at the Museum of Contemporary Art. She captivated the crowd at Chromatic, a MASSIVart event at the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT).
