Jolie Lin is a seasoned lawyer with 35+ years of experience in the financial services industry. She founded Linnovation Works, an advisory services firm focused on executive coaching for corporate legal leaders and in-house legal ops departments. In 2021, she also co-founded a legal tech start-up, Secure Engage and is its Chief Client Officer. Jolie’s last corporate role with Bank of Montreal, was VP & CLO accountable for managing legal and regulatory risk for BMO’s Personal and Commercial Banking businesses in Canada. During her time at BMO from 2009, Jolie held a number of senior roles, including as Chief Knowledge Officer responsible for innovation and transformation within BMO's Legal & Regulatory Compliance group. She was also VP & DGC for BMO’s Technology and Operations (2013 to 2017), responsible for legal and regulatory risk relating to cyber-security, privacy, BMO’s multi-billion-dollar procurement program, brand and intellectual property, marketing and social media. Prior to joining BMO, Jolie was a partner at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP where she represented a diversified group of institutional lenders and large corporate borrowers. Jolie received her LL.B from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Canada. She has been a director of Canada's National Ballet School since 2016, and is the chair of its Nominating and Board Governance Committee.
