Spring Showcase, May 25-28, 2022
Since 1959, Spring Showcase has been an annual performance tradition at Canada’s National Ballet School – completely unique in its opportunity to witness the next generation of leading ballet artists as they develop and explore the full spectrum of this rapidly-evolving art form. It is a highly-anticipated event that embraces some of the most well-known classical and modern ballets of all time and provides a platform to showcase new works from leading contemporary choreographers.
We are ecstatic to welcome audiences back for the first Spring Showcase in three years. Performances will run from May 25-28, 2022 at NBS’ Betty Oliphant Theatre, at 404 Jarvis Street in Toronto.
Celebrating innovation, music and storytelling, this year’s program is filled with dynamic classics and compelling newer works, including:
Spring and Autumn from The Four Seasons, choreographed by James Kudelka
Boundless, choreographed by Robert Stephen
Paquita Grand Pas Classique, choreographed by Marius Petipa
