A series of in-person professional development workshops, classes and discussions exploring wellbeing and belonging in a dance environment.

Join us for our popular Ideas Exchange for Ballet Teachers! Ideas Exchange is a unique professional development opportunity, where dance educators from across Canada and beyond gather to share expertise and strengthen community. Join NBS’ faculty for engaging conversations and workshops on February 28, February 29 and March 1, 2024.

There are two workshop streams participants can choose from, focusing on pointe work or performance:

Register: Repertoire and Performance

• The performance session will include opportunities to learn repertoire, performance coaching, and considerations for stage-makeup and hair.

Register: Pointe Progressions

• The pointe session will include workshops on fitting and customizing shoes, conditioning for pointe, considerations in level 1 training and a class observation and Q&A.

Dates: February 28 - March 1, 2024

Time: 10:00am - 2:30pm ET

Location: In-person at Canada’s National Ballet School’s campus at 400 Jarvis St., Toronto ON
