Originally from Germany, I moved to Toronto in 2009 to complete my Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in choreography and dramaturgy (York University, 2009-2011). Since then, I have found expression in my passion for dance, both in choreographing and teaching. With my company, Angela Blumberg Dance, I have choreographed and produced over 20 works that have been presented at Fall for Dance North’s International Presenters Program, Canada’s National Arts Centre, The COC’s Free Concert Series, The University of Toronto’s New Music Festival, The World Dance Alliance Americas, DanceWorks CoWorks, and TMU’s Springworks. I enthusiastically teach in the Young Dancers Program, sharing my passion with the next generation of dancers.
