Christine Chen, Barrister and Solicitor (dual qualified). Christine is General Counsel at the University Pension Plan Ontario, a jointly sponsored pension plan intended to help enhance the long-term sustainability of defined benefit pension plans in the university sector. She has extensive advisory and in-house experience in strategy development, project management and opportunistic as well as defensive corporate governance, operational and structural change management in response to regulatory, tax and market evolution.

Christine has served as a Trustee of the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans with $100 billion in assets, where she sat on the Governance and HR Committee.
