Robert C. Edmonds was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated from Bard College with a B.A. in history and received a J.D. degree from New York Law School. He founded the New York City law firm of Edmonds & Co., P.C., in 1983.

Mr. Edmonds has been a member of the Board of The Friends of Canada’s National Ballet School since 2005. He also serves as serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Bard Music Festival and as trustee of several private foundations.
