Lauren has an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and has completed a Masters in Physiotherapy from McMaster University where she was awarded the ‘Physiotherapy Expert’ and ‘Leadership Scholarship’ Awards. Before pursuing a career in physiotherapy, Lauren worked as a Registered Kinesiologist specializing in exercise prescription and volunteering with Parkinson’s Canada.

Lauren started ballet at age 5, training at the Oakville School of Classical Ballet and achieving her ‘Solo Seal,’ the highest vocational graded examination through the Royal Academy of Dance at age 16. At 18, Lauren danced professionally with the Orlando Ballet and performed in various productions, such as Romeo and Juliet and the Nutcracker. While in Orlando, she placed top twelve in the classical and contemporary pas de deux categories in the Youth American Grand Prix New York City Finals. She has also achieved ‘High Honours’ in Level 5 of the American Ballet Theater’s National Training Curriculum.

Her years of dance training and her time as a professional ballet dancer helped to inspire her career in physiotherapy. She now works in Toronto with dancers and those living with various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Lauren is thrilled to be able to share her knowledge with you!
