Rachel Taylor
Rachel Taylor is the senior visual arts teacher in the Professional Ballet Program, teaching art and art history to Grades 9-12, as well as the art history teacher in NBS’s post-secondary Teacher Training Program. She has been employed at NBS since 2008. Rachel has a B.A. (Hons.) and an M.A. in Art History from the University of Toronto, and a Cambridge/RSA Teaching Diploma, with teaching experience in Toronto, Oxford, and Nairobi. She has worked as a researcher at the Royal Ontario Museum and the National Museum of Kenya, and currently holds a position as Art Educator at the Art Gallery of Ontario. Rachel graduated from the professional program at NBS, and is committed to nurturing the creative side of new generations of dancers.
Interests: Rachel is an avid reader and painter, and enjoys independent travel to learn about other languages and cultures.
Fun Fact: Always up for a physical challenge, Rachel was a varsity rower at U of T and a tree planter in Northern Ontario.
