A Holiday Gift Guide from Canada’s National Ballet School

This holiday season, celebrate the dancer, the dance enthusiast, and the dance champion in your life with a gift especially designed for them.

Gift a Dance Experience

Give the gift of dance and give an exciting experience of learning, creativity and joy! Dance is a wonderful way to stay active during the winter season and it’s an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals.

Gift cards can be purchased for Adult Ballet and our Young Dancers Program (YDP) for youth ages 5-17. Personal attention, exceptional instruction, live piano accompaniment, and state-of-the-art facilities are all
hallmarks of the NBS Adult Ballet Program. Our Young Dancers Program offers a range of different dance forms, like Jazz, Hip Hop and Contemporary. Whether your loved one is embracing dance for the first time or they are hoping to develop their dance skills, we have a wide range of classes with something for everyone!

Please email registrar@nbs-enb.ca to coordinate purchasing a gift card.

AinslieWear's icy blue Nutcracker dancewear is perfect for the holiday season and Canadian Artist Kiki Symoné's bold digital art prints are wonderful pieces to admire year round. Ballet Rosa's buttery-soft bamboo pieces are perfect for training and Warm Up Booties are great for staying cozy in the studio or at home.

Stocking Stuffers

Pick out creative stocking stuffers for the whole family from The Shoe Room! Stay hydrated with a sleek NBS water bottle and be protected from the harsh winter with all natural salves and balms from Toronto-based Matter Company. Tights are always a useful gift for dancers and Bunhead's Footsie Rollers are great for anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet. When in doubt, a Gift Card to The Shoe Room helps take away all the guess work. Your loved one can choose a unique gift for themselves, while knowing they are supporting NBS' breadth of programming for dancers of all ages, abilities and aspirations.

Give the Gift that Gives Again

Dancing opens doors—not just to any opportunity, but to every opportunity. To learning and leadership, well-being and connection, and to remarkable creativity that inspires generations.
This season, give a gift in honour of the dance and arts champion in your life. Here are just a few of the examples of how your donation can make a lasting impact:

  • $25 gives a child with diverse physical, cognitive and/or developmental needs the joy of dancing in an NBS Adaptive Dance class.

  • $50 gives an older adult one term of dance classes with NBS in our Sharing Dance Older Adults @ Home program.

  • $120 (or $10/month) gives financial assistance to support NBS’ professional ballet students as they work to pursue their dreams.

Donate online and receive an e-card to share with your loved ones.
