Discover Olympian Rachael Karker's relationship with dance
Canada’s National Ballet School is getting into the Olympic spirit and we wanted to re-visit an interview we had with Olympian Rachael Karker from 2022. Rachael Karker won a bronze medal for Freestyle Skiing at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and is competing for Team Canada again in this year's Winter Olympics in Milan. What you might not know, is that Rachael is also an alum of our Young Dancers Program.
Watch the video below to see Rachael share her experience at NBS and the impact that dance had on her athletic career.
The NBS Young Dancers Program (formerly known as the Associates Program) is a part-time ballet and dance program designed specifically for children and youth ages 3-17 with an emphasis on cultivating talent, passion, and a life-long love for ballet and dance! It provides lasting foundations for physical and artistic engagement, as well as social and emotional development using a holistic, innovative curriculum created by our expert teachers.
The Young Dancers Program offers two streams of programming—Intensive Ballet and Open Dance—which allows each student to choose the pathway that suits them best!
