On May 30, 2026, Canada’s National Ballet School welcomed more than 4300 visitors for the fifth annual NBS Block Party

The NBS Block Party was a vibrant and joyful day of dance, music, movement and connection—a powerful expression of the School’s mission to share the transformative power of dance.

Together, we danced our way through the NBS Block Party’s biggest artistic program yet—featuring 24 workshops, 13 pop-up performances, and more than 930 workshop participants. With behind-the-scenes access to classes, rehearsals, and our new In Conversation panel feature, plus family fun, music and food, the day was memorable for guests both on and off the dance floor.

We are deeply grateful to our 2026 NBS Block Party sponsors and supporters, without whom this free community festival would not be possible.

For the second year in a row, we are proud to share that the NBS Block Party was a finalist for the 2026 Canadian Event Awards.
